Since the start of his life, Kori.K has been deeply connected with all things music. He was born into a family of musicians and throughout his childhood was exposed to countless opportunities to involve himself in the musical world. Whether singing for commercials and children's albums at a young age, or playing one of several instruments in any number of bands throughout his teens, Kori always seemed to have his hands in some form of musical endeavour.

But it wasn't until a major ski accident in Whistler, B.C. during the spring of 2000, that Kori decided to pursue his passion for electronic music. Kori had moved to Whistler in the fall of 1998 and was working toward a career in downhill and freestyle skiing. While training in the half pipe one day, a simple mistake led to a disastrous crash leaving Kori in a crumpled heap of injuries, the worst of which being a broken pelvis. After becoming basically immobilized, Kori decided to look at his misfortune as an opportunity and purchased a set of Technics 1200’s. It wasn’t long before Kori gained the skills and confidence to start playing local parties and night clubs around Whistler and Vancouver. Years passed and the name ‘Kori.K’ became more and more recognized.

In 2002, he made the move to Montreal, Quebec where he had the chance to play along side some of his most respected DJ’s at a number of underground parties and after hours clubs. But it wasn’t long before the west coast was calling him back and subsequently he made the move home to Whistler in January of 2003.

Since that time, Kori.K has been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively across 5 continents and has brought his fun blend of house, breaks, and funk to 14 countries around the world. He has had the honour of playing with some of the biggest DJ’s in the game such as Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold, Plump DJ’s, Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Bad Boy Bill, Sneak…and the list goes on…

In the summer of 2008, after returning from an 8 month motorcycle/DJ tour to South America, Kori made the move to Vancouver, Canada where he set up a recording studio allowing him to produce original tracks, and the personalized remixes and edits you will find him playing in any given set.

In the winter of 2012, after having moved back to his home town of Whistler BC, Kori K co-founded a weekly Friday Night event named Smirnoff House Party at the GLC and has hosted an array of renowned DJ's such as DJ Dan, RAC, Justin Martin, Mat The Alien, Czech, Smalltown DJ's, Neighbour, and many, many more. The night was an immediate success amongst the Whistler locals crowd, as well as the countless international tourists visiting Whistler from countries abroad.
